Exceptional customer service recognised with Autotrader Highly Rated 2025
Thursday 10th July 2025, London – Autotrader, the UK’s largest automotive platform for new and used cars is helping retailers showcase their exceptional customer service this week, with the launch of its Autotrader Highly Rated 2025.
Retailers across the UK who have been consistently recognised by their customers as providing an outstanding experience by rating them highly on Autotrader will be receiving a collection of exclusive Highly Rated assets, including stickers and digital logos to promote their excellence across their physical and digital showrooms. What’s more, retailers meeting the criteria will also have a Highly Rated logo added to their Autotrader profile page and Retailer Store for maximum visibility.
Brand new for this year, all retailers who have achieved Highly Rated 2025 status, will be able to access Autotrader’s exclusive Highly Rated Merchandise store allowing them to not only claim their winner’s sticker pack, but also shop for additional award materials to proudly display in their dealership.
Reviews are crucial to building confidence with buyers, and as one of the UK’s most widely known and trusted brands, recognition from Autotrader builds on that confidence, helping Highly Rated retailers to stand out from competitors by creating even greater trust with car buyers. In fact, a recent onsite survey showed that almost 75% of Autotrader consumers believe reviews are important in their decision-making process and would be more likely to visit a retailer who was Highly Rated[1].
Commenting on how receiving Highly Rated status will benefit their business, Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu Motors plc, which achieved Highly Rated status across 130 different dealerships, said:

To qualify for Highly Rated accreditation, retailers must have met the following in the last 12 months:

In today’s increasingly competitive market, the Highly Rated accreditation is an invaluable opportunity for retailers to build trust and confidence with potential car buyers, and importantly to stand out from the crowd. This year we’ve made our judging criteria even stricter, which makes earning a Highly Rated status an even more impressive achievement, and the fact this year saw the highest number of retailers to receive it, highlights our industry’s commitment to outstanding customer service.
It’s recommended that retailers proudly showcase their achievement across their digital and physical dealership and every other consumer touchpoint to ensure potential customers don’t miss their Highly Rated status.
Retailers who post a photo or video of their Highly Rated 2025 Award in their showroom will be entered into a prize draw. Entries across multiple platforms are permitted, so retailers are urged to tag Autotrader Insight social media accounts on LinkedIn (Autotrader Insight) and Instagram (@AutotraderInsight) using the hashtag #athighlyrated2025. Retailers will be entered once into the prize draw (per social media platform) if they share their own photo or twice if they share a video of themselves with their award materials. The prize draw will run between 10am on Monday 14th July 2025 and 23:59pm on Monday 4th August 2025.
