Autotrader recognises the 'best of the best' in bike retailing
Autotrader, the UK’s largest automotive platform, has recognised the bike retailers that have gone above and beyond over the past year, celebrating those delivering outstanding customer service and market‑leading performance as part of its annual Autotrader Retailer Awards.
Now in its 18th year, the Awards celebrate the very best in automotive retailing; those retailers that are pushing the standard of all aspects of the car, van and bike buying experience.
Based on the results of the UK’s largest consumer mystery shopping programme among automotive retailers, SOR Motorcycles (fewer than 25 vehicles), The Bike Buyer Ltd (25-50 vehicles) and North Oxford Garage (over 50 vehicles) won Autotrader’s prestigious Bike Customer Experience award, split by forecourt size. These businesses demonstrated consistently high standards across every stage of the customer journey, from initial enquiry through to in‑store interactions and follow‑up.
However, this year the top accolade within the dedicated motorcycle category, the Bike Retailer of the Year, was awarded to just three of Autotrader’s 600 bike retailer partners, also split by forecourt size: TMS Motorcycle & Automotive (fewer than 25 vehicles), Hastings Motorcycle Centre Ltd (25-50 vehicles) and P.F.K. Ling (over 50 vehicles).
The winners were determined by a combination of in-depth analysis of millions of data points on the Autotrader platform, as well as the results of the mystery shopping programme. This award highlights the very “best of the best” across the bike retail sector.
With less than 1% of Autotrader’s total retailer partners recognised for their retailing excellence this year, the winners have joined one of the industry’s most exclusive clubs.
Bike retailers are operating in a fast‑evolving market, where customer expectations are higher than ever. The retailers we’ve recognised this year are those who truly understand what modern bike buyers value with great service, transparency and a seamless experience both online and in store. Our judging process is completely independent, it’s unbiased, and its data and fact based.
