On Friday 9 February, The Make A Difference Guild attended the Forever Manchester Birthday Party, raising £100,000 for local grassroots groups across Manchester.

In what continues to be an incredibly successful partnership, Auto Trader received the Forever Manchester Business Supporter of the Year Award. Auto Trader has been working with Forever Manchester for almost a decade to support this charity that is so close to many of our colleagues' hearts.

Forever Manchester, is Greater Manchester's Community Foundation, the only charity that raises money to fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester. They provide a lifeline to many grassroots groups in Greater Manchester.

Auto Trader's Make A Difference Guild also had a presence on the night, sponsoring The Captain Manchester Award, which is given in recognition of an individual with true Mancunian spirit. This person has given their time, money, skills or resources to support communities of Greater Manchester; has gone the extra mile and embodies the spirit of Forever Manchester.

The award was presented on the night by Sarah Eaves from Auto Trader and awarded to Dave Foran. Dave is a Forever Manchester Ambassador and has been supporting the charity for over 15 years. He has raised thousands of pounds, by staging open mic, comedy, band and gig nights, as well as quiz night events and everything in between, as well as generally being on hand to help Forever Manchester whenever he is needed.
