Pay gap reporting

We report not only our gender pay gap,
but also our ethnicity pay gap, and actively
campaign for other large companies to follow suit.

Our sixth combined Gender and Ethnicity Pay Gap Report
(published in November 2025, reporting the pay gap as
at 5 April 2025) details our commitment to creating a diverse
and inclusive work community that enhances our culture.

We are pleased to report that we continue to make progress in reducing our gender pay gaps. Our mean gender pay gap decreased by 1.2% (2024: 0.2% decrease), and our median pay gap decreased by 1.7% (2024: 0.7%). We continued to make good progress during the reporting period in retaining women in upper quartiles within our business, with only 15% of leavers coming from this group, compared to 21% for men.

Overall, due to the success of our recruitment efforts, over 34% of our total new hires last year were from ethnically diverse backgrounds, contributing to a broader representation within the organisation.

This year, efforts to attract and retain women have continued. The overall representation of women at Autotrader is now 42.9%. This improvement has been driven by a consistent focus on inclusive hiring practices, particularly in Early Careers roles, and targeted efforts in attracting underrepresented talent.

We will continue with strengthening representation across all levels, especially in senior roles, as it is essential to creating a workplace where everyone can see themselves reflected and feel they have space to grow. We do however recognise that there is still work to do here, specifically maintaining that equal representation when hiring into senior roles.
